How do I access the Settings Menu

Hover over the arrow next to "Add Event" and select "Settings."

What is the Module Name and why should I change it?

The module name controls what is displayed on the "Sharing" page in the Settings. Changing the module name can be useful if there are multiple calendar modules on the same page.

 

How do I change the display type?

Step 1: Open the Settings menu.

Step 2: Select the desired option from the "Display Type" dropdown.

  • List ← Displays events from "Today" into the future; limited by "Events Display Limit"
  • Mini-Calendar and List ← List works as above, but is also limited to "This Month;" Calendar highlights "Today" and "Event Days"
  • Mini-Calendar ← Displays small calendar with highlighted "Event Days" and "Today"
  • Next 3 Months as Mini-Calendar and List ← Works like Mini-Calendar and list, but has three calendars
  • Next 6 Months as Mini-Calendar and List ← Works like above, but has six calendars
  • Full Calendar with Events Inside  ← Displays "This Month" as large calendar; event titles display on their respective day(s).

Step 3: Adjust the "Events Display Limit" as needed. We recommend a large number (9999) if you aren't sure how many you need.

How do I change the number of events to display?

Step 1: Open the Settings menu.

Step 2: Enter the number of events to display into "Events Display Limit."

Step 3: Click "Save" or "Save & Continue."

How do I turn on pagination?

Step 1: Open the Settings menu.

Step 2: Check "On/YES" under "Pagination On."
Step 2a: Change the number of events per page: Update the "Events Display Limit" to the desired number.

Step 3: Click "Save" or "Save & Continue."

How do I import/remove an outside feed into my calendar?

Step 1: Acquire the XML feed URL of the calendar to feed in.

Step 2: Open the Settings menu.

Step 3: Click "Feeds" from the left.

Step 4: Paste in the feed into the "XML Feeds Imported" area.

Step 5: Click "Save" or "Save & Continue."

What is Sharing and how do I do it?

What is sharing?

Sharing a Calendar module from one page to another allows you to have different calendars on different types of events (Special events, Closings) and have all the events show on one page.

How do I do it?

Step 1: Place a Calendar module on the page you want to feed into.

Step 2: Open the settings menu and select "Sharing" from the left.

Step 3: Click the check box(es) next to the blog(s) you want to have fed in. The format is always:

  • [Calendar Name] on [Page Name]

This page is why it is useful to change the module name.

Step 4: Click "Save" or "Save & Continue."

How do I add a tag cloud?

Step 1: Open the Settings menu.

Step 2: Click "Tags" from the left.

Step 3: Check "ON/YES" under "Tag Cloud Display."

Step 4: Click "Save" or "Save & Continue."

How do I change the number of tags displayed?

Step 1: Open the Settings menu.

Step 2: Click "Tags" from the left.

Step 4: Type the maximum amount of tags to display into "Tags to List." Entering "0" will list all tags.

Step 5: Click "Save" or "Save & Continue."
